His family have been leaders since the original ten Amulet Bearers and he has been groomed, since birth, to continue the proud lineage. Suffice to say, Haiku has had a priveledged life. Haiku, however, plans to become an inventor instead. He's a prodigy in the field of old world sciences and has been drafting functional inventions since age seven. He prefers to round himself out with poetry and writing now that he's older, but his real gift is physics and engineering. Like any genius, his behavior ranges from abstract to illogical. He frequently forgets to eat or sleep, for example. Haiku is a patient, industerous, tolerant person. He's a fairly low-key, low-maintenance guy with an addiction to coffee. He's been seriously involved with Espoir for almost four years and they live together on one of his family's estates. Semi-Spoiler: Haiku's family hired out Ombrage for the retrieval of a stolen relic and thus she and Feu have become, however grudgingly, a part of his life. He would rather keep his neck out of all of this, but allying with them placates his family and enables him to plan his own future.
