Amulet Color: azure Sphere of Influence: holistic (healing) First Appearance: chapter two Sage is a young healer-hermit who lives in the woods between Pao and Ryn. Sage is a woman but she was raised as a boy and she actively binds her chest and wears male clothing. She's so used to acting like a guy that she has a tendency to flirt harmlessly with her female patients, but she's very disinterested in any relationships in her life. Sage has no memory of her early childhood; she was found abandoned on a monestary's doorstep with no possessions but her amulet. The monks named her, taught her, and trained her in the healing arts. Sage's order is famous across the continents for medecinal training and her skills are fairly adept for someone so young. She currently lives deep in the forest by choice, but she makes regular rounds through the Nyamal settlement and Ryn. Sage is a calm, quiet, intelligent woman. She enjoys her work and, on occassion, reveals a sense of humor to her patients. Sage is a pacifist and she can't abide anyone who demeans the value of life. Generally, though, there is a permanent sadness about her. Semi-Spoiler: Flint left Sage about a year before the story. She found him injured and alone in the forest and throughout the course of his healing they developed a relationship. Sage was deeply hurt when he left and she's since abandoned trying to open up to other people.
